Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat prediksi prestasi belajar siswa berdasarkan status sosial ekonomi orang tua, motivasi, kedisiplinan siswa dan prestasi masa lalu menggunakan metode data mining dengan CHAID (Chi Squared Automatic Interaction Detection). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kosgoro 1957 berjumlah 94. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis prediksi menggunakan decision tree algoritma CHAID. faktor sosial ekonomi yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi mahasiswa IBI Kosgoro 1957. Mahasiswa yang mempunyai prestasi kurang baik adalah yang berasal dari status sosial ekonomi tidak mampu yaitu sebesar 34%. Sedangkan Mahasiswa yang mempunya prestasi baik adalah yang berasal dari status sosial ekonomi mampu dan sangat mampu yaitu sebesar 71,7% . Mahasiswa yang memiliki prestasi masa lalu cenderung akan memiliki prestasi yang baik di masa sekarang.
