As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. General Formatting Standards

Font Family: All manuscripts must be prepared using Times New Roman.

Font Size & Spacing: Use 10-point font for the main body text, set line spacing to 1 single spacing, with no extra spacing before or after paragraphs. Use standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.

Document Layout: Submissions should be in a standard two-column format (for IEEE compliance) using Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX templates provided by the journal.

Length: Standard research articles should typically be between 6,000 to 8,000 words, including figures, tables, and references.

2. Manuscript Sections & Structure

Title: Concise and informative (maximum 15 words), avoiding uncommon abbreviations.

Abstract: A concise summary of 150 to 250 words outlining the research problem, proposed methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Provide 4 to 6 index terms (keywords) below the abstract.

Main Body: Follow the standard IMRAD structure (Introduction, Proposed Method/System Architecture, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion).

Nomenclature & Equations: Define all symbols used in equations prior to their appearance. Number equations consecutively with arabic numbers in parentheses flush with the right margin (e.g., (1)).

3. Bibliographic & Citation Style (IEEE Format)

Submissions must strictly adhere to the IEEE Editorial Style for in-text citations, figure/table callouts, and the final reference list.

In-Text Citations: Number citations consecutively in the text using square brackets (e.g., [1], or [2, 3], or [4–6]). The punctuation comes after the bracket. Refer to the reference number in the sentence when possible (e.g., "As shown in [1]...").

Reference List: Number references sequentially in the order they are first cited in the text, not alphabetically. Only cite published works or accepted papers.
